Who and what motivated me to write a novel? In this podcast I talk of the key influences on my work, from my history teacher at school to inspirational academics I was fortunate to meet and, in some cases, work with.
From my involvement at the Open University co-writing the ‘Health & Disease‘ course books in the 1980s, through creating ‘Walking London’s Medical History‘ (and associated GPS guided tours on Voice Map) to historical fiction, it has all been driven by a desire to improve public understanding of health care.
